Common Warfare Tactic = divide and conquer

Jesus warned us,

“No city or house divided against itself will stand.”    (Matthew 12:25)

To counter, Jesus commanded us to have

“love for one another.”      (John 13:35)

‍

Yet we keep on hurting each other, even in our usage of spiritual gifts as we try to love.

The Apostle Paul addressed this problem:

       1 Cor 13:1-3, “but have not love, I gain nothing.”

        1 Cor 12:14-27,

                 Diversity is not division.

                 Unity is not conformity.

                 God designed us to be interdependent.

‍

        Dangers to be aware of:

                 Gift envy

                 Gift projection

                 Gift pridefulness

‍

Conclusion:

There are no right or wrong spiritual gifts.

       One gift is not better than another.

        All spiritual gifts have strengths and cautions.
