24 people served at Spectrum Ministries and Mexico Caravan Ministries in Tijuana. One person, sent to Radius International for a 10-month missions training. Monthly Zoom meetings with missionaries around the world.
We give generously of our time and resources to the following missional areas.
A group of fourteen people from Christian Layman Church (CLC) are going to northeastern India to see what God is doing amongst the Naga people. The group is a mix of people who went in 2016 and people who’ve never been to India.
We’ll be led by Khan Lolly, who grew up there and whose uncle is running the Spring of Hope orphanage. She and her husband, Jonathan Zingkhai, started the orphanage as a way to help kids whose parents were lost to HIV/AIDS. In addition to caring for the orphans, Spring of Hope helps provide fellowship and support to HIV infected mothers.
We’ll spend time with the kids at the orphanage, sharing crafts and some Vacation Bible School type lessons, We will spend time getting to know the kids while they teach us how to make sticky rice. We will help them with their schoolwork and do some computer lessons. We’ll do a picnic and play games. We want them to know that God cares and loves for them.
We’ll also go the village where Jonathan grew up and where his family lives. It has no electricity and is a 4 hour drive over National Geographic-type dirt roads! Jonathan and Khan started a school there because it is so remote and difficult for kids to get education.
Attached are write-ups from each team member about why they are going or what the trip means to them. We need senders, so we hope that you will consider praying for us. We can do nothing without God’s help and provision, and that starts with prayer.
We‘ll visit with HIV/AIDS widows in their homes, help the kids lead a community worship time for them, and host a dinner for them. We will also spend time to intentionally encourage the staff people who work at the orphanage.

The cost of the trip per person is $1,800, including airfare, lodging, food, and project materials. Each person is responsible for their cost, but group support will be shared amongst the team. Because of CLC support thru the Missions budget, you are already supporting the team through your tithes, but if you feel called to additionally support the team or an individual or the orphanage financially, please fill out the attached response card and send to the church office.
